Taking Care of your spex.
Taking care of your Spex not only keeps them looking good, but it also increases the frames longevity. Here are a few of my important tips:
1) Always take your Spex off with two hands and avoid putting them on top of your head.
this will help maintain the frames shape and reduce any stress on the frame and it’s hinges to avoid breakage.
2. Clean your lenses with a no or low alcohol lens solution and a fragrance and moisturiser free tissue*. Polish lenses with a Microfibre cloth.
This will help keep your lenses sparkling clean!
If you’ve been to the beach or a dusty environment, make sure to rinse your lenses under cold-lukewarm tap water first to avoid scratching your lenses.
*Never use tissue on a dry lens.
3. Keep spex away from harsh chemicals, aerosols and heat (eg. a hot car).
This will make your lens treatments last longer and avoid any damage.
4. If they're not on your face, they're in the case.
Storing your Spex in a hard case will help protect them from dust, dirt and accidental scratches or breakages.
5. Spex need to be regularly maintained, due to general wear and tear.
Every 3-6 Months your Spex should be professionally cleaned, tightened and adjusted.
