FAQ

  • How do I obtain my Optical Prescription?

Your Optical Prescription is valid for 12-24 months, dependent on your recall.

Optometrists are required by law to provide your prescription after an eye examination. If you would like assistance obtaining a copy, I am more than happy to help - Click here to complete a prescription release authorisation.

  • Do I need to make an appointment to visit the store?

Appointments are highly encouraged as we currently do not trade everyday. It also allows me to allocate time dedicate to just you.

Walk-in’s are only available when the store is open for trading (see our socials for weekly trading hours).

Appointments will be prioritised over walk-ins and I will help you as soon as I can.

  • Can I reuse or supply my own frame?

Yes, you can re-use or supply your own frame. It does attract a $40 reglaze fee (the cost of labour to cut and fit lenses). I also advise that supplying your own frame is at your own risk. I will always assess the frame to ensure it is suitable. However, there is always a risk that the frame may break. I will always help where I can to find a substitute at your own cost. However, due to age or brand I may not be able to assist.

  • Can I claim any of your products with my Private Health Insurer?

We offer on the spot HICAPS claiming on all of our Prescription Eyewear* and Optical Lenses.

*Please note that due to Health Fund Rules, we cannot claim on Non-Prescription Sunglasses or Frame only purchases. Health Fund rebates can be claimed directly with your health insurer after prescription lenses have been fitted.
